
MCP Client Web App
A simple Python web application using FastAPI to connect to an MCP server, display status, and list available tools.
Requirements
- Python 3.13 or higher
- A virtual environment (recommended)
- MCP client dependencies (see requirements.txt)
Installation
- Create and activate a virtual environment:
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
- Install dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
Running the App
Start the FastAPI server using Uvicorn:
uvicorn app:app --reload
Open your browser and navigate to http://127.0.0.1:8000
Usage
- In the web interface, enter the MCP server JSON block (e.g., Puppeteer):

- Click Connect.
- View the connection status and the list of available tools supported by the server.
