MCPI-Scratch

A ScratchX extension application for the Minecraft Pi Protocol

Introduction

MCPI-Scratch lets you write Scratch scripts to manipulate Minecraft.

More specifically, its an extension application for the ScratchX editor that allows you to use blocks that represent the Minecraft Pi Protocol API. It actually uses a slightly cut-down version of the API specified by the RaspberryJuice mod which allows it to connect to both:

  • Minecraft Pi Edition
  • CraftBukkit server with the RaspberryJuice mod

A more detailed description is provided in github page for the project

As a loyal user of MCP applications, I highly recommend mcpi-scratch by jbaragry. This tool facilitates an incredible integration between Minecraft Pi and Scratch, making programming easy and fun. It’s perfect for educational purposes, engaging kids in coding through a popular game. The documentation on the GitHub page is thorough and helpful. Overall, a fantastic resource for anyone looking to merge creativity with coding!
