MCP Test Server

A simple Model Control Protocol (MCP) server implementation for testing Claude Code, built with TypeScript.

Setup

npm install

Development

# Compile TypeScript
npm run build

# Start server (after building)
npm start

# Start in development mode with auto-reload
npm run dev

# Run linter
npm run lint

The server will be available at http://localhost:8080

API Endpoints

POST /api/v1/complete

Main MCP endpoint that accepts messages and returns a response.

Request Body:

Health check endpoint that returns the server status.

Configuring Claude Code to use this MCP server

Run the following command to configure Claude Code:

claude mcp add local http://localhost:8080

Then use the MCP with:

claude --mcp local
